12/5: Peer Review of Post/er Project
In small groups of 2-3, access the Post/er Project assignment and do the following:
- Read the Post/er Project assignment together, ensuring you understand the requirements. If you have questions you cannot answer together, ask me!
- Take turns sharing your posts or posters with your group, explaining yourself as the rhetor, describing your audience, and fleshing out your exigence. Work together to ensure audience and exigence are particularly clear and specific.
- Navigate to the “Assignment Criteria” section of the assignment, take out something to write with, and discuss the following in your groups, writing your notes down:
- Think about your decision about to create either a poster, intended for hanging in a common space, or a social media post, intended for digital circulation. What informed this decision? Is it the right one?
- Have you included appropriate data or research? If not, what are some options?
- Think about how you’re combining text and image to convey your message, and ask yourself the following:
- Do I use images to convey emotion? If not, would this help me?
- Would using a single word or only a few words as large graphic text be useful?
- Could including a QR code help me use space and offload some text from my post/er?
- What else do I need to do to finish my post/er?
